Abstract

Hypertension is a chronic medical condition that can cause various serious complications if not managed properly. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of cupping therapy in reducing pain levels in hypertensive patients. The study used a descriptive observational method with a case study on a hypertensive patient experiencing acute pain. The intervention using cupping therapy was carried out for 60 minutes, and the results showed a decrease in the pain scale from 4 to 1 and an improvement in blood pressure from 180/90 to 140/60. These results indicate that cupping therapy has the potential to be an effective non-pharmacological approach to managing hypertension, especially in reducing pain and improving the quality of life of patients. This study also highlights the importance of nursing assistance in implementing cupping therapy safely and based on evidence.
