LITERATURE REVIEW: THE EFFECT OF ELDERLY EXERCISE ON REDUCING BLOOD PRESSURE ELDERLY WITH HYPERTENSION

Abstract
ABSTRACTElderly is someone who experiences the aging process, where the aging process causes a decrease in health, a decrease in the physiological function of the body's organs and triggers the emergence of hypertension. Lack of management of hypertension treatment in the elderly can lead to failure of pharmacological management of hypertension, so that complementary therapy is needed to reduce blood pressure, namely elderly exercise therapy. This study aims to collect and analyze journals related to the effect of elderly exercise on reducing blood pressure in elderly patients with hypertension. The method or design used in this study is a literature review by searching for journals using the Goggle Scholar and Proquest databases. The inclusion criteria for this study used the PICOS framework. The results showed 12 journals of elderly gymnastics that had been analyzed using the literature review method, all articles stated that it was effective to be carried out independently by the elderly or assisted by family or companions if the elderly were unable to do it independently, because this therapy is very cheap, and can be done anywhere and anytime. anytime, and can be given to overcome health problems both physically and psychologically experienced, especially to lower blood pressure in the elderly.
